Pets we've lost along the way

Harry Hamster
Harry Hamster, 1998

(With Susan 1995-1998). Adopted from a pet store. He kept me company during my drive from Florida to Houston. A better travel companion would be hard to find. He was quiet, didn't complain no matter how many times I stopped, and didn't bug me. Of course it was hard for him to hand me cokes from the cooler...

Urnie
Urnie in Gainesville, ~1986
Go to Slideshow and pick Urnie from the menu to see more photos of him.
(With Susan 1985-1989). Adopted from another college student. Lost. Was quite the 'hunter' in his day until I had him snipped! Then he was much more affectionate. And stayed home more. Would wake me up when the alarm went off so I could feed him.

Kitty
Kitty (what color!)
Go to Slideshow and pick Kitty from the menu to see more photos of her.
(With Susan from her birth in 1987 to 1998). Lost to a kitty heart attack after cancer surgery in February 1998. True tortise shell coloring. She loved me so much she'd bring me a couple of bird heads every week! Or mice, or other such treats.

Sweetheart
Keith with Sweetheart, ~1995

(With Ashley/Keith from 1989 or '90 to 1999). If you want a really good cry, read her goodbye story.

And the finest, bestest dog ever, Sophie

(With Susan and family from her birth in 1973? to 1983). Died from heartworms and mystery infection. No better dog ever existed, or ever will.
